Owner/Operator
Lisa started Mrs. Grout with a simple idea: provide professional grout cleaning that provides a deep clean that lasts for years.
With a background in franchise development, Lisa began Mrs. Grout with the intention of creating a sustainable business model that can be replicated in suburban areas over and over again.
But Lisa also had a larger goal in mind. She wanted to change perceptions about what women can do for work, one grout cleaning, staining, or repair at a time.
Mrs. Grout is now not only woman-owned but also women-led. Working with Mrs. Grout gives Lisa and her team a sense of freedom and power, both physically and mentally. It’s an incredible experience from what seems like a minor household task to so many people!
Office Manager
With over 35 years of experience in customer service and office management, Marie brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role as the office manager for Mrs. Grout.
A native New Yorker, Marie spent much of her youth in sunny Florida, where she developed a love for both vibrant city life and warm coastal breezes. Marie is a devoted family person and cherishes the time spent with her loved ones and her two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. An avid traveler, Marie enjoys exploring new destinations, but her heart truly lies in cruising with her husband. Together, they create beautiful memories on the open sea, discovering new cultures and indulging in their shared passion for adventure.
Field Supervisor
Jaclyn was born and raised in New York and moved to Florida in 2007. She joined Mrs. Grout in 2014 and was promoted to field supervisor in 2016.
She has a passion for what we do and especially enjoys the creative aspect of her work.
In her spare time, Jaclyn enjoys gardening, cross-stitch, and watching extreme sports with her kids. She lives in Spring Hill with her husband and three children.
Lisa Council started Mrs. Grout with a neighborly mission: to give Central Florida families floors they could be proud of—clean, bright, and built to last. As a longtime realtor, she’d seen how spotless grout and tile could lift a home’s value and spirit. But after hiring a grout-sealing company for her mother’s house and watching the shine fade quickly, Lisa knew families deserved better. She rolled up her sleeves and looked for every method she could find. After plenty of trial and error, she discovered the 7-Step Process that sets Mrs. Grout apart—a system that keeps grout looking fresh for years.
In those early days, Lisa’s crew looked like most others—young guys ready to tackle tough jobs. Then Bonita walked in. A mother of grown kids and a seasoned professional looking for part-time work, she brought a quiet confidence that changed everything. Lisa worried the demanding labor might drive her away, but Bonita proved unstoppable. Her care and precision turned every job into a “WOW!” moment, and soon, clients were sending their friends to Mrs. Grout.
Bonita reminded Lisa of Rosie the Riveter—strong, steady, and proud of her craft. She showed that the real strength behind beautiful floors isn’t muscle. It’s heart, care, and pride in a job well done. Those qualities in Bonita, well-aligned with Lisa’s mission, became the standard at Mrs. Grout, and we encourage them in every woman who has joined the team since.
Today, Mrs. Grout is women-owned, women-led, and powered by teams who treat every home like their own. With Mrs. Grout headquartered in Brooksville, Lisa carries the same spirit with her as when she first began the business, as well as the belief that the best person for this job has always been a woman who cares.
