As she was getting Mrs. Grout up and running, Lisa assumed she would need young men to do the heavy lifting. She quickly discovered that when she gave women a chance at the job, productivity skyrocketed! (As did customer satisfaction.) When it came to grout and tile cleaning and sealing, women took meticulous care to give each customer a flawless finish.

Lisa has continued to develop a company culture of supporting women in the workplace and beyond. 

Each employee of Mrs. Grout goes through extensive training. That way, they can support themselves and their families no matter where life takes them.

But Lisa knows that it takes more than a handy skill for people to succeed. When someone on the Mrs. Grout crew is struggling, they band together to lend a helping hand. That could mean offering an extra shift to help make ends meet - or it could mean buying someone a car. The Mrs. Grout family lives out the proverb “A rising tide raises all ships.”
